"Having you as landlord and the wonderful house as our home very much supported us in pursuing our career here at UMass. Knowing we have this part of life ‘under control’ lets us focus on school not needing to worry when we come home.”

"8 Coach Lane is by far the best place I have lived in in this town. The house itself is amazing. It is warm and cozy to create a nice, familiar environment, but also spacious enough that we could all stay out of each other's way if need be (we were 4 roommates and friends, graduate students busy with our studies/work). It has a lot of light, and the backyard and little back porch were perfect for sunbathing, reading, grilling with friends... The neighbourhood is quiet and nice, very private. The only disadvantage for me that I can think of, because I don't drive, was that it was 3 miles to UMass, but the buses are great during the school year; it was only in the summer that it was a bit more difficult to get places.

Living next to our landlord, Kate, was an amazing experience, as she was always ready and willing to fix anything that needed fixing (and not much needed it in the two years I lived there, since the house is in really good condition) and she is always kind and helpful. She made our experience at Coach Lane a great one, with a house that was always in perfect shape and an environment that was welcoming and fun. She was very accommodating of our needs and understanding of our circumstances when things would get stressful. She also helped me personally in my search for a new place when my circumstances changed and I had to find a new apartment; she replied to all my prospective landlords quickly and gave excellent references.

I would recommend 8 Coach Lane and Kate Loving to anyone. I will definitely miss it! "

"I lived at 8 Coach Lane for a year, the last year of my PhD. Out of the 5 years I spent around Amherst that was by far the best place to live I could find. It's quiet and in a family neighborhood. The house is nice, the kitchen space is big, I loved the glass door in the living room and how easy it was to get from there to the swimming pool during Summer. The garage was as big as to fit my SUV and my housemate's Jetta. Kate was always eager to assist us with whatever need we had. It's nice to have her in the neighborhood."

"For the two years I lived at 8 Coach Lane, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.  Kate was not only an exceptional landlord but also a great neighbor.  She promptly responded to any questions and was always there if we needed anything.
Thanks again Kate!”

“My experience living at 8 Coach was a great one; the neighborhood was a friendly and quiet place to live, perfect for the life of a studying grad student. The house was a perfect fit for our situation and was a popular meeting place for study groups or small cook outs in the backyard because of the space.

Kate always made herself available to assist with any problems we ran into over the course of the year and was more than willing to answer any questions we had when we gave her a call.”

"We have been tenants and neighbors here at 8 Coach Lane for 6 years. What has stuck with Penni and me is how much we appreciate the wonderful place we have had to live in.

I worked from this house doing my software development in the finished downstairs. I always got admiring comments from my visitors on what a fantastic setup it was, with a quiet location, green grass and trees visible out my office window and the neat way I was able to silence previously noisy computers with Kate and Will’s help. Penni has loved the location being so close to the colleges and yet far enough away for privacy.

The place was spotless and well maintained when we arrived and Kate has continued to maintain it with a helpful attitude, often making improvements that we suggested. Always responsive and friendly, our landlord Kate helped to make the house our home. It could not have been a better situation."
